Missions: Meet The Teams
So, by now I'm pretty sure you know I'm going to be doing Operation St. Cloud and going to Nicaragua this summer... Well, I thought I should let you get to know some of who I'll be joining on these missions. So here they are...
For Nicaragua:
- Josh: Our church's youth pastor... He does so much for the youth group and pours himself out for us. It's impossible to say just how much God has spoken through him and used his teaching to change me for His benefit.
- Mitch and Steph: These two (aside from being my best friend's parents) are pretty much a second set of parents to me. I have had so many good, God-glorifying conversations, and some remarkably like that of a parent instructing and correcting a child (me being the one getting corrected). Absolutely love them both! (BTW, Steph made a post about the missions... including a list of DO's and DON'TS for those receiving a support letter.)
- Micah: The oldest child of the aforementioned Mitch and Steph (and also only 1 day older than me), Micah is pretty much my best guy friend (not that I have many). We have had so many fun, goofy, pointless conversations and just as many serious, Godly ones.
- Eden: Mitch and Steph's oldest daughter and sister to Micah... and also one of my best friends and my pretend sister. And by now you ought to know who she is. Need I say more? (Oh, and BTW, she's got a blog, too.)
- Kayla: You remember her for Operation St. Cloud last year, right? Such a cool lady! We weren't all that close until Operation St. Cloud. We had some great moments and one of my favorite memories of the summer was with her, talking until about 3 a.m. I'm so looking forward to working alongside her again.
- Mindee: Fabulous leader! Loves God! Absolutely love her! (Also was on Operation St. Cloud last year.)
-Rachel: Over the years, being in Sunday School and then small group with Rachel, I've gotten to know her much more than the many years we were together at school. She really does have a love for God. Rachel's also just a really cool lady!
That's about it for people I'm close to... We have many others going, as well, but those are the main ones I wanted to highlight. Hope I didn't forget anyone important!
For Operation St. Cloud:

- Michelle: Michelle is a great leader. She pushes me out of my comfort zone and we've had many great conversations about God. Absolutely love her!
- Hannah: Another of my best friends. Fun, goofy, sincere. I've had so many wonderful conversations with her.
- Kristina: Another one from last year. She (and Mindee) always made it a positive working environment. Kristina has a love for God, children, and service that is so evident by the way she lives. Really an inspiring young lady.
- Megan: Hannah's sister and a really chill lady. Really excited to work with her!
I don't even know who all are going (and for all I know this list is wrong)... But regardless, I am soo excited!
So you can see, we have a fabulous group of individuals, all coming together for a single purpose: the furthering of God's kingdom. With each passing week, I become more and more excited to serve this summer. As my church says, "Summer is for missions."
