What's Up Next?

Many of you who have known me for the last few years have gotten to witness my spiritual journey, as I've developed from a passionate girl with no specific direction to who I am today. God has grown and stretched me in so many ways - ways that are so far beyond anything I could have ever imagined! A big part of that journey has been following God in obedience to go and "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19), a command that I'm continually growing in my understanding of. This command has taken me all over the world and I am excited to announce that I once again have the opportunity to delve deeper into obedience and go on a summer mission trip to North Myrtle Beach (NMB)!
During our time there, my teammates and I will be working jobs in the morning, developing relationships with our coworkers and neighbors, and reaching out to the hundreds of tourists and community members in the evenings. Throughout the summer, we will be developing our leadership skills and growing our abilities to speak the love of God in a relational manner into the lives of our friends and coworkers. In addition, we will also be discipled (here's a handy article that explains what that means), which will help to push us further in our personal and spiritual growth. These are all lessons that I can then bring back with me to my campus, to benefit the campus community. I am so excited about how God will be working both in me and through me within the NMB community during my summer there!

The thing is, there will be about 60 of us students there... all summer - renting houses, etc. Now, I don't know about you, but that sounds like quite a large feat to house and care for so many of us. I ask if you would be willing to partner with me in prayer. Jesus himself said, "Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14). In addition, I would ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with myself and my team financially. If that is something you would be interested in, you can give online at my personal giving website. Each team member individually has been asked to raise $3,999, and I am trusting prayerfully that God will do so. In any event, I am really excited about what this new experience will bring me!
I will be posting some updates here on the blog, but most likely, I will be sending out more regular updates by email. If those email are something you are interested in receiving, or if you have more questions for me about my trip, please fill out this google form.
